Year 2 took a step back in time for Victorian Day last week. The children entered school dressed as Victorian children and were then given a new ‘Victorian’ name for the day. The children took part in various activities throughout the day, these included handwriting, chanting timetables, maths using chalk, making and eating gruel, creating peg dolls, looking at artefacts and playing traditional playground games. The children enjoyed their day and some even wanted to continue to eat gruel for their school lunches!
