SEND Report

At Park Primary School, it is our aim to provide a nurturing environment for all our children.  As an inclusive school, we endeavour to achieve maximum inclusion for all children whilst ensuring all their individual needs are met. We support a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) by offering a broad and balanced curriculum to all.  It is the responsibility of all our staff to maximise the achievement and opportunity for all children including those with SEND.

Our Teachers provide differentiated learning opportunities for all the children within the school and provide materials and resources appropriate to the children’s interests and abilities, ensuring all children have full access to the school curriculum.

The Information report below is designed to give parents/carers an overview of our provision for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, answering key questions they may have about their child’s education and care in our school.

If you have further questions or would like to speak with someone to discuss your child’s needs in more detail, please contact 01282 863225 and ask to speak to our SENDCO Miss Warbrick, who will be happy to assist you.

Local Offer

A Local Offer gives children and young people with special educational needs or disabilities and their families information about what support services the local authority think will be available in their local area.  Every local authority is responsible for writing a Local Offer and making sure it is available for everyone to see.

SEND Policy

The Governors and senior management of the school meet to discuss and explore how the school will meet its SEND obligations fully. They have produced a school policy which is reviewed annually. This is available for parents/ carers to download and read at your leisure.
