January has been an exciting month packed full of fun sporting activities. The children began the year being offered the chance to try a new sport: fencing for key stage 2 and street dance for EYFS and key stage1. 

You may have also noticed the new gym equipment on the yard, which has encouraged children to exercise more during break and lunch times, as well as before school starts for years 5 and 6.

This half term, 4T has began their swimming sessions now all of year 3 have been this academic year, and year 1 have started receiving gymnastic sessions from Pendle Gymnastics. In addition to this, year 5 will begin their Bikeability course on the 30th.

We also have plenty of after school clubs to choose from this half term. 

Monday- Year 3/4 multiskills 

Tuesday- one off events organised throughout the half term. 

Wednesday- Year 5/6 Boys football, Year 4/5/6 Dance

Thursday- Year 5 and 6 netball, Key Stage 1 football (boys and girls)

Friday- Year 5/6 Girls football, Key Stage 1 Dance.

There’s also been plenty of opportunity for pupils to represent the school.
