Year 5- Writing to Pendle Council regarding the Level Up Fund

This half term, Year 5 have been doing some fantastic work in English on letter writing. We decided to write a letter to Pendle Council regarding how the Level Up Fund could be spent in Pendle to improve the lives of the people who live here. Year 5 had some excellent ideas following whole class discussions and wanted to communicate these in a formal letter. It is wonderful to hear all the pupils engaging and discussing how the community could be changed for the better, for not only themselves, but all. This has all contributed to our global theme work this half term on social justice and equity.
