Last week year two spent the day as Victorian school children. We had a great time making gruel, (which some children really enjoyed), using chalk boards to complete tricky Victorian calculations, trying Copperplate handwriting and making our own peg dolls, amongst other things. A great time was had by all, although everyone agreed they’d rather live in modern times than as Victorian children!
Mrs Hargreaves’ class then followed the day up with a really interesting and informative assembly about the history of our school, which both children and parents thoroughly enjoyed.
