Year 4 were extremely lucky today to have a visit from Joe, a photographer and videographer with his own company (VoyeurClub), who came in with his drone! It is STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) week in school this week, and year 4 are completing a project all about bees. Joe showed us how to assemble the drone ready for flight, and the children asked lots of questions. We then went outside where he flew the drone using the remote control. We watched the drone’s journey on Joe’s phone, and we got a birds eye view of McDonalds! Lots of children spotted their homes too. The children were so excited (as were the adults) and it was amazing to have the opportunity to see the drone working so closely. Joe then showed us some amazing photographs he has taken using his drones in all parts of the world. We would like to thank Joe for giving up his spare time to come in,we are very grateful!
