If the term dates you require are not available, the dates for that academic year may not have been agreed by the Governing Board yet.
As a Lancashire County Council school, Park Primary must follow the holiday and term dates guidance from Lancashire Council and then they have 5 additional training days to allocate for the year. Therefore, you can utilise the LCC term dates as a general guide should the full year's dates not be available yet.

Holidays during term time
Taking holidays during term time can significantly affect a student's education. Missing school means missing out on important lessons, class discussions, and activities that contribute to a student's overall learning experience. Even a few days of absence can lead to gaps in knowledge, making it harder for students to catch up and keep up with their peers. Research shows that students with higher attendance rates generally achieve better academic results and enjoy school more.
Lancashire County Council (LCC) Guidance
Lancashire County Council (LCC) has clear guidelines regarding holidays during term time. According to LCC, head teachers are not permitted to grant leave of absence for holidays during term time unless there are exceptional circumstances. Parents are strongly discouraged from taking their children out of school for holidays, as this can disrupt their education and impact their academic progress.
Legal Responsibilities and Fines
Parents have a legal responsibility to ensure their child attends school regularly. Failure to do so can result in legal action, including fines. From August 19, 2024, LCC issues penalty notices at £160 per parent, per child, which must be paid within 28 days. If paid within 21 days, the fine is reduced to £80. If a second penalty notice is issued within a rolling three-year period, the fine remains at £160 with no discount available. A maximum of two penalty notices may be issued to a parent for the same child within a three-year period, after which further legal action may be taken
