On Friday afternoon, after a morning full of achievements at the Duckett Ceremony in the Muni, the whole school rushed down to the Sports field to participate in our annual Sports Day. The format was a little different this year with KS1 and KS2 split and competing in different events. Also the children competed in their House teams as a relay race. There was a variety of activities including: the egg and spoon, hurdles, three legged, stilts, bean bag balance , tire lift & roll and many more. Then, after all these events, the races began. Each year group raced against each other in a boys and girls dash; the children ran their little hearts out and had lots of fun doing so. Finally, it was the adults turn, with the parents (mums and dads) having a race as well as the teachers and teaching assistants. There were some gracious and not so gracious tumbles along the way but most importantly, no one was hurt (perhaps some wounded prides) and everyone got a little physical activity and had a great laugh. A big shout out to Mr Burton for organising the day, a thoroughly thought out and managed event!
Hi, my name is Mr Farry and I’m a Year 5 teacher. After spending a few years at Park, I consider myself very much part of a great team in a great school.I am now the P.E coordinator, which is great as I am a very active person and love sport. This is reflected in my class, whereby I ensure the children receive lots of physical activity in a week.
