As part of the global theme on sustainable development, the children in Reception grow their own vegetables each half term. Children in school and remote learners have been growing cress and they have enjoyed watching it grow from tiny seeds, even though they did find it really smelly.
We then used the cress to make our own soup, following a recipe and carefully using knives and peelers to prepare the vegetables. The children really enjoyed tasting their soup and said it was, “Super good!”
