Park’s footballers were in action last night and faced two tricky games.

Despite dominating possession in the opening game against Saint Paul’s, they fell behind to a wonder goal from their striker- an unstoppable volley from outside the area. The boys went on to create many chances, with Bobby and Marcus both going close, but just couldn’t put the ball in the back of the net and the score remained 1-0.

In the second game, they faced a very good Coates Lane side. Park dominated possession again and had lots of opportunities, with Rhys and Keegan testing the keeper, before Shay cut in from the wing and unleashed an unstoppable drive into the bottom corner. The boys then had ample opportunities to extend their lead with Drew and Aiden going close but the score remained 1-0.

My name is Mr Thompson and I am the class teacher in year 5 as well as the PE subject leader. This is going to be my second year teaching at Park and it is one that I am really looking forward to. Away from the classroom, I enjoy socialising with friends, going to the gym and taking part in a variety of sports.
