Today, Park held its annual and festive Santa Dash! The event, usually a loop around the streets of Colne, had to be a little different this year due to the global pandemic.
Rather than run as a whole school, the children had to run within their year group bubbles. Also, instead of running the 1 mile loop outside the school grounds, the children ran an internal loop SIX times to achieve the 1 mile limit.
A teacher led each year group to ensure all the children got around the course safely, evidently the lockdown early in the year has taken its toll on some of the kids. There were some pink, red and even green faces throughout the day, but in typical Park fashion, our children, whilst moaning, whinging and huffing and puffing still ALL finished the course.
Well done boys and girls – good exercise for you, you’ll sleep well tonight and hopefully spend less time on videogames!
