This morning, the whole school started off their day with ‘an EXTREME mile run’ by completing our annual Santa Dash event running a loop around the school (actually over 1 mile!).  The cross country crew set off the race, with the overall winner Leah from 5F completing the loop in an amazing time of 9 minutes and 25 seconds.  Even Mr. Farry huffed and puffed and struggled to keep up with the experienced young runner.  The Year 6s, 5s, 4s etc then set off in that order with some running, jogging and walking.  Everyone had a wonderful morning and there were lots of tired children slumping back into class.

Well done to all the children, the teachers and especially the parent helpers who made the event possible by manning road junctions to ensure the route was safe for the children!

Hi, my name is Mr Farry and I’m a Year 5 teacher. After spending a few years at Park, I consider myself very much part of a great team in a great school.I am now the P.E coordinator, which is great as I am a very active person and love sport. This is reflected in my class, whereby I ensure the children receive lots of physical activity in a week.
