Today, the children have spent the morning as mini Roman soldiers. They carried their shields and swords marching out to the yard. They then completed a carousel of activities that involved creating different tradition Roman army formations like: the orb, testudo, repel cavalry and wedge.
They realised the importance of keeping a tight formation, how it might even save a life or a legion.
They children have had an amazing morning and have loved learning about many aspects of Romans in Britain.
