Park Commemorates

Last week, our Year 6 children visited the town hall as part of ‘Colne Commemorates’, in honour of the centenary of World War I.

The children were able to see their own work (some heartfelt letters from the trenches) on display for all to see inside the town hall, along with pieces of work from other schools across Pendle.  Not only that, they were also  given the opportunity to learn more about the specific impact the war had on Colne, as well as being able to sample some of the ‘interesting’ fashion choices from 1918, which they certainly enjoyed!
