The Year 5 & 6 girls had their first taster at competing against other schools in Football last night. It was a tough night to kick off their first inter school experience with some bitter winds and piercing, icy rain. Needless to say, the girls were freezing!
However, the girls plodded on and played four games on the night, narrowly losing games 1 – 0 and the outstanding performance on the night was a 4 – 0 victory, where everything gelled during the game.
This was a knock out event, with only the winner progressing to the county finals in Blackpool. The league event for the girls commence in the Spring 2 term, so the girls will continue their club in preparation for that…
