On Friday past, Mr. Burton set up the KS2 hall for a series of energetic and exciting workouts. From EYFS to Year 6, the course was gradually altered to suit; every class in the school receiving a 20 minute timeslot to work up a sweat, and that they did. The children got to try out lots of new and fancy sports equipment including: light free weights, new gymnastic tables and adult sized punching bags (these proved a real hit)!
The whole school physical activity days (which will run each half term) are geared up to try to get children motivated and back into sports and physical activity after the long term absence at the end of last academic year due to COVID. As always, the children loved their 20min burst, burning lots of calories whilst clearing their head from the intense pressures of classroom learning.
