Our Year Six children have been having a great time in the forest school this morning! After litter picking and clearing the field of debris, they began planting beech tree saplings around the perimeter. The hope is that these will flourish over the coming years and create a natural border full of wildlife that these children will be able to admire as they walk past on their way to high school. After this, we looked at using different knots and how these could be used to support joints when building dens; the children came up with lots of fantastic, unique designs!
