Yesterday, all of KS2 classes had their ‘transition day’ into their next respective year groups.  As well as the excitement of who their new teacher would be and what they might do for the day, the children were all treated to a French ‘Brioche’ snack in the morning as part of the Bastille Day – French celebration day.  The children carried out a variety of French related activities in the morning including:  French research using ipads & chromebooks, practical games using numbers and colours, quizzes, songs and the Year 6s even spent the morning cooking mini quiches and ratatouille.  I think it’s fair to say the addition of the French theme linked into ‘Transition Day’ helped to make the day a much interesting and exciting day for the children.

Thank you to all the teachers for making the effort to teach and incorporate MFL into our school in such a variety of ways.
