Year 2 love ending the week by exploring Forest school on Friday mornings. Last week, we looked at food hygiene again and practiced or cutting skills by chopping (and eating) tasty cucumber. Our forest school skill this week was to tie reef knots, which we will use for den building in the coming weeks.  Whilst at forest school, we have been exploring patterns in nature by creating leaf and tree bark rubbings using crayons. As it was Hello Yellow Day, we also meditated and did some yoga, listening to the sounds of nature around us. As always, we have time to explore our amazing forest school site and create swings, obstacle courses and anything else our imagination leads us to! Year 2 have shown kindness and good teamwork this week, helping others out when they find something tricky.
