Over the last 3 weeks, 3 lucky Year 5 boys and girl got the lovely opportunity to go down to Cornfield Fisheries and enjoy learning lots of new skills all around fishing and team work.
The children learnt all sorts of little tricks and tips on how to catch a whole range of different fish. This was shown from the very first week when all on her own Lacie caught 3 fish in 20 minutes of being by the lake and she wasn’t alone with the dream team of Ollie and Declan catching quite a bunch themselves.
” The best part for me was when me and Ollie was talking about a Barbel and then the next fish we caught was a Barbel, it was so strange but funny.” – Declan 5D
“Mark and Alan taught me lots about fishing and I cant wait to ask my parents to take me in the holidays.” – Lacie 5A
” It was strange at first touching all the different maggots and the slimy fish but after a while I got used to it and really enjoyed it. A hard part was when having to get the hook out of the fishes mouth but I persevered and because a natural at it.” – Ollie 5D
