This morning, some of the children in Year Six were lucky enough to visit a local allotment to enhance their study of WW2 and the “Dig for Victory” campaign. The owner, Mr Denwood, kindly allowed the children to pick some of his vegetables and told them about all of the produce he grows. Carrots, brussel sprouts, onions, apples, leeks, potatoes and sweet corn were among the goodies collected by the children.
