Our Year Six children have been exploring a local nature reserve this morning, trying to locate lots of interesting plants and animals- just like Charles Darwin did on his first expedition over 200 years ago! The children worked in teams to find deciduous trees, molluscs, arachnids and wild mammals.
We spotted deer, herons, lots of ducks, millipedes and- although they weren’t wild- even came across some llamas! The children, and teachers, had a great time and are now busy writing up their findings in their topic books!
