Over the last two days every class in Park has had a Chinese New Year experience with Anya from ‘West End in Schools’.  The children re-capped the traditional  tale of the Chinese New Year, which involved lots of animals: the ox, rat, dragon, tiger, rabbit, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog and a pig.

The children spent their time creating a dance routine learning new moves and actions linked to the animals and the story.  They then had to all bring it together and perform a collective routine which was a joy to watch, with lots of belly laughing before, during and after.  It’s been a wonderful 2 days for the children with lots of positive feedback.

Finally, this special visit linked perfectly with one of our seven Global Themes at Park – Identity and Diversity…
