Yet another adventure today for the Buxton Crew!  After smashing a yummy cooked breakfast, the children travelled to Carsington Water Reservoir for the day.

They firstly explored around the Activity Centre learning all about the local water cycle – some pretty cool and interactive resources!

Next they did a bit of bird spotting with help from some lovely volunteers.  They identified drakes, mallards, coots, curlews and thrusts amongst others.

A little break and lunch was followed by an orientation trail locating and identifying different animals that live within this beautiful sanctuary.  Lots of new knowledge (male and female ducks!) and lots of energy burned.  The children are ready for a yummy tea!
