Today, the children were split into their appropriate Key Stage and got back into the business of some fundamental learning of English and Maths. The Key Stage 2 children completed some homophone spelling work (including word searches and crosswords) followed by an in-depth Guided Reading and comprehension session. The Key Stage 1 children were doing some intense learning in Time. A very difficult lesson for our youngsters to comprehend. Miss Warbrick put them through their paces with some excellent kinesthetic resources to help them grasp the concept; just make sure the children don’t call you for breakfast in the morning otherwise you may be a tad late and peckish : )
The children were so mentally fatigued after the intense learning AM, that after lunch, the academic stuff was eased and they were treated to some Poundsticks (PE) by Mr Farry and some artwork.
I wonder what tomorrow will bring?!?
