Mr Bunyan’s class spent time at home reading in unusual places or unusual ways… Here you can see the weird and wonderful photos the children came up with! The winner, voted for by parents and parents’ evening, was the one of Amelia reading in the bath! Well done to everyone for reading, and for being creative with the positions and locations you got yourselves in!
Today, the Digital Champions delivered two assemblies – one for KS1 and one for KS2.
The main messages were about making sure that your online identify is safe and not revealing personal information online, and asking adults if you’re unsure. Well done to Alton, Megan, Harry, Hannah, Elliott, Lacey, Maddie and Anekin for doing the assemblies and being brave speaking in front of a large audience!
The year ones have spent this week writing their very own stories! They’ve worked really hard each day to write part of their story, based on Grandad’s Island, and we now have some published authors amongst us! We’re really proud of their efforts and hope that we can read even more of their amazing work in the future.
Today, year 1 were visited by Blue Cross, an animal charity who help sick, injured and homeless pets. It was a really engaging session and the children were taught all about the charity’s work, how to look after pets, and how to stay safe around dogs. We even had a bit of roleplay where Ruby dressed up as a vet nurse! Thank you to Paul and his team from Blue Cross for an exciting and informative class.
