On Thursday last, our KS2 children had a special ‘Remembrance’ assembly led by our history expert Mr Swarbrick from 4S. Mr Swarbrick went through a child friendly PowerPoint explaining the key information that led to Armistice and Remembrance Day being a respected and annual event. The children from Year 6 produced some lovely acrostic and free verse poetry which they proudly read aloud during the assembly. The children also sang a ‘Remembrance’ song led by Miss Latham. Finally, the assembly was finished with a 2 minute silence paying respect and reflecting on all of our past victims of war.
