This afternoon, our FBA (Fantastic Book Awards) club invited x10 children, also motivated readers, from Bradley Primary School, Nelson to have a fun afternoon reading and completing some quizzes. The children from Bradley were treated to a brief tour of our KS2 building and KS2 library. After this, we gathered in the library to do some shared reading from one of the 5 books that were nominated by the Fantastic Book Awards project. The Park children then logged into their Accelerated Reader accounts and completed a quiz with a child from Bradley helping too. Finally, the children made a vote as to which of the 5 books was their favourite, this will be sent to FBA where there will be a celebration event towards the end of the academic year with the winning authors collecting their accolades.
