On Friday morning and afternoon, x15 Year 5 children and x15 Year 6 children visited the Steven Burke Cycling Hub and spent their time (on the bikes provided) completing different cycling related activities to put their cycling skills to the test.

It was a grim forecast for the day, but not to be deterred, our children got themselves wrapped up and ready in their wet gear and made the most of the opportunities to learn some new cycling skills and have a little fun too!

Many thanks to Fiona, from PSSP – Pendle Schools Sports Partnership, for chauffeuring the kids to and from the event, but also to Emma from GoVelo who set the different challenges for the kids throughout the day AS WELL AS standing out in the rain for most of the day!

Mrs. Barry, who accompanied the Year 5 children in the morning, said the children, although sodden, were fantastic and thoroughly enjoyed the challenges set despite the inclement weather!
