To do our bit for Sport Relief, we have all been active every day this week – so much so that even Mrs Ewens’s new activity watch could barely keep up!
We have done lots of different activities in school all week to celebrate the power that sport can have and to raise awareness of, and money for, Sport Relief, a charity event that uses sport and activity to raise money for sporting projects in the UK and the world’s poorest countries.
From Monday to Thursday, every class took ten minutes out of their busy day to do star jumps, speed bounce, shuttle runs, and throwing and catching. Well done to 1B (KS1) and 3C (KS2) for amassing the greatest total number of reps completed over the week!
Finally, Sport Relief week culminated in today’s fitness circuit. The children, dressed in sports kit, balanced on beams, jumped over hurdles, threw basketballs into a hoop and bean bags into a bucket, skipped, and crawled through a tunnel!
Thank you for your kind donations – the money really does go to good causes. You can read more about Sport Relief here.
We hope you have a lovely Easter holiday. See you all in a fortnight!
