I am very proud to be the Headteacher at Park Primary School – Park is a great school that is full of enthusiastic and hard working children and staff. No day is ever the same here, there is always something happening for the children to enjoy. I have always worked in education and have had the privilege to work in lots of different schools (but I think Park is my favourite). When I am not at school I enjoy spending time with my husband and three boys – we like walking and being outdoors. Our favourite places to visit are Bolton Abbey and Hard Castle Craggs.

My name is Mr Thompson and I am the Deputy Headteacher. I also have responsibility to support the Headteacher as a designated safeguarding leader. I have had the pleasure of teaching in this wonderful school since 2014 and, during that time, I have taught right across Key Stage Two, led PE, English and Maths and also been a staff governor. The aspect of teaching, and leadership, I enjoy the most is developing and enabling those within our school community to reach their full potential and realise their ambitions. Outside of school, I like to keep physically active by going to the gym, playing football and walking my two dogs- Poppy and Little Red.

My name is Miss Reyner and I have worked at Park Primary since 2013. I am the EYFS/KS1 Assistant Head Teacher and have worked in EYFS, Year One and Year Two. I love how different each day is at Park and I am passionate about all of the subjects that I teach. As Phonics Leader, it is amazing to see the progress of children from the early reading stage to developing into fluent readers. I endeavour to make learning enjoyable and accessible for all. When I am not at school, I love spending time with my family and having lots of days out with my little girl and boy.

I have been at Park Primary since 2015 and during that time I’ve managed to cover a range of year groups including Years 5, 3 and currently Year 6.I am actually a qualified engineer and worked in construction for several years (home and abroad) prior to making to switch over to Primary Education. I have no regrets and absolutely love my job, there’s never a day the same which keeps me on my toes and makes life in school interesting. My roles in school include Year 6 class teacher, joint P.E lead and joint English lead. Away from school, my wife and I love to do lots of hiking, I runs up lots of fells and I also like to read lots of novels, especially during the holidays. This may explain why I am both PE and English lead!

My name is Mr Brown and I am the Assistant Headteacher and SENDCo at our wonderful school. Teaching has always been a significant part of my life, which started at a small village primary in Lancashire. Throughout my career, I have taught across all age ranges, led a variety of subjects and been a staff governor. As a SENDCo, I am committed and driven to providing support for each individual pupil and tenacious in accessing the right help at the right time for those who need it. I am passionate about providing children with the best possible education and I am determined to ensure that no child is left behind. Outside of work, I am passionate about sport and have always been a keen footballer, runner and badminton player. On Monday evenings, my wife and I help to lead a local community running club at a school near my home and I am also a proud Burnley Football Club season ticket holder and attend all the home games with my family. At weekends, I love to spend time with my wife, son and cockapoo, Blakey.

I have been at Park Primary school since I started my teaching career in 2021, after graduating from Manchester Metropolitan university with a first-class degree. I am a class teacher here at Park and I love how every day is different. I enjoy learning alongside the children and get involved with lots of different activities. In my spare time, one of my favourite things to do is to go on long walks with friends and family. I also love to bake cakes and share these with my Nan and Grandad. I enjoy teaching all subjects, but my favourites are Art, PSHE, RE and English. I also love to take learning outdoors!

Teaching has been my dream since I was a little girl, so being able to say that I am now a class teacher at Park is an achievement I am extremely proud of.Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I love anything outdoors, so I often spend my time away from school camping and going on long walks around the Lake District.

I enjoy lots of creative crafts in particular I love making miniature model houses .

I am just starting, what I hope is to be, a long career in education, having formerly been a qualified lift engineer. That role left me longing for a greater sense of job satisfaction, one that I am already finding in this new position! Assisting some incredible teachers to get the most out of the incredible pupils here at Park Primary, has instantly shown me that this was the change in my career thatI was looking for.
Outside of work, I love to read! It’s fascinating to me, how a bit of ink printed on some pieces of paper can transport you to a whole new world! My favourite author at the moment is James Rollins, who takes you on wild adventures that blend reality with science fiction!

Outside of school my interests lie with playing cricket, gardening, reading a selection of classic and sci-fi novels and taking my lovely dog on long walks in the countryside.

I have worked right across school within all year groups and recently took on the role of Forest School Leader. I love seeing how the children progress each year. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family. We love going away and travelling the country with our caravan. Our favourite destination is Skegness, we just love the beach! Alongside this, trials bikes and motorsport play a big part in our family life.

I’m Mr Aspin and I have been working at this school since 2021. I am the Sports Coach at Park Primary School, which involves doing sports all week every week. This is perfect as this is also my hobby, I try to play as many sports as possible, keeping myself sometimes too busy! Staying fit and keeping my body active is mostly what I do out of school, this includes biking, going to the gym, playing football, hiking, tennis, squash and every other sport you can think of. Living very close to school is great and even attending the school when i was younger makes me happier seeing what great things we are doing for our children.I try to listen to a lot of books whilst I’m doing things, mostly travel and adventure books, with my favourite author at the moment being Bill Bryson.

I have been in post here at Park Primary since 2015, but have worked in and around Colne for six years with families. My role in school is to provide support, advice and information to the families within our school community. I can help you with any worries that you may have in relation to your child’s education, behaviour and well-being. I am also here as someone to talk to if you need it! I have a son that I enjoy spending time with either at kick-boxing training or out walking our dog.

I joined Colne Park Primary School as the new Pastoral Manager in December 2023. I have many years experience of working in schools, both primary and high schools.My experience is from EYFS up to year 11 and enjoy supporting children in school. I understand the daily struggles of parenting having 2 boys myself and empathise with the issues they can bring, but also value the positive experiences that my boys have brought me over the years. I have worked in Nurture units and also in The Therapy room at my previous high school along with my therapy dog Rosie. My most recent post was in a unit for Neurodiverse children and have experience of non verbal children and the strategies and aids that can be used. Some of you may recognise me as the previous Chair of Governors at Colne Park Primary school, a role I had to resign from once I secured this post, however I remain on the governing body. I hope to see you all on the yard in the morning or after school, please come and say hello and I work full time Monday – Friday so if you need to speak to me for any reason ring the school office. -

I help celebrate the children's successes in the Friday assemblies, help children to feel better and give out lots of cuddles and kisses.
