Yesterday, the Year 6s started their Tag Rugby sessions yesterday with big Darren from CRC (Colne Rugby Club). He is visiting local schools to promote the sport with the younger kids, a good and necessary deed for today’s youngsters in order to boost engagement.
Darren was great with the children, playing lots of games whilst discussing fundamentals of the sport. Yesterday’s session focused on how to hold the rugby ball (with two hands) by the belly and by the ears. Also, the children are encouraged to visit CRC on Sundays between 10am and 11am for free coaching.
Darren will be coaching for the next 3 weeks in school…
