On Tuesday Year 3 enjoyed a trip to White Scar Caves as part of their project about rocks and fossils. The children wrapped up warm and found it was no colder inside the cave than outside! The children were given a guided tour around the cave. We learned about how it was discovered by Christopher Long in 1923. After walking up 97 steps we reached the Battlefield Cavern which was 1 mile into the hillside. We also saw an inside waterfall, witches fingers and the devils tongue! Inside the cave is an amazing experience and if you fancy a trip, have a look on their website for all of the information.
