Year 6 student Kaysie, 10yrs old has smashed the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge on Sunday 28th May, raising over £700 for the North West Air Ambulance (funds are still coming in). She completed it in 11hrs 47mins.
The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge is a 24.5 mile walk which involves climbing, within 12hrs, the tallest mountains of Yorkshire; Pen-y-gent, Whernside and Ingleborough.
She chose to support the North West Air Ambulance as they were the only ones who could reach our good friend Gary Windle when he died whilst trying to make his way home in the heavy snowfall of March 2013.
I’m sure you will be as proud of our daughter as we are. Sarah (Mum)
The Staff at Park Primary are very impressed with Kaysie achievement and wanted to share this remarkable feat of endurance in completing the walk and the brilliant news about the amount of money raised for the charity she wanted to support. Well done Kaysie!!!
