Our R.E week is focused on ‘Charity’ and how we can help others. We were very lucky to have a visit from Marilyn who is a volunteer at the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army is a worldwide Christian church and registered charity, which has been fighting against social inequality and transforming lives for over 150 years. Marilyn explained to the boys and girls all the lovely things that the Salvation Army do for the community.  Some of the work they do includes: providing food parcels for those in need, cafes for the elderly, running charity shops, having their own brass band, providing Christmas Lunch to those in need to name just a few. The children were able to try on bonnets and caps as well as using some of the musical instruments that Marilyn brought in to share with the children.
