As we discussed our global theme of Power and Governance, the children thought about how they could use their own voice to do something positive for the local community. Year 5 (5M and 5N) decided to collect food donations for St Bartholomew’s Church community grocer- our year group charity. We would like to thank everyone who donated, every item will help individuals in the local community. We would also like to thank Reverend Alex, who kindly came in and delivered an assembly alongside some of the children in 5M to explain what our charity was and how people could help if they wished to. The children had so much fun making posters, delivering an assembly, encouraging donations, donating themselves and using their voice to make a positive impact. The donations will be taken down to the church after the Easter service on the 31st of March.
