On Thursday 1st February, our School Council held a meeting with parents, Mr John Jennings Wharton (School Governor), Mrs Margaret Foxley(Local Councillor) and PC Dave Cleal to discuss how we can make our school even better, especially at collection and drop off times.

In order to support a peaceful and safe school environment, the School Council, have discussed in classes things that they feel are not appropriate for children to see or hear.

Some of the things they discussed were:

Disruptive behaviour which interferes with school routine.

Using loud or offensive language, swearing or displaying temper.

Abusive or threatening written communication or phone calls.

Parking on Zig Zags.

Revving engines and beeping horns.

Inappropriate social media.

Smoking, drinking alcohol or other drugs around school site.

This was followed by a discussion led by Mrs Foxley who was keen to support school in addressing these issues.

We would like to thank all the parents who attended the meeting and for sharing their view points with us.

We look forward to sharing more news about how these issues will resolved very soon.

I have had the pleasure of working at Park since I graduated from Chester Teacher Training College. Both my children attended Park Primary and have become successful in their careers. I love my role as Deputy Head teacher and especially enjoy having the opportunity to work in all classes. I am very proud to work at Park Primary and always take an interest in the careers of past pupils. My hobbies are walking, spending time with my friends and family.
