A big well done to all the children who took part in the ‘Santa Dash’ around Colne. Children across school, from reception up to year 6, took part dressed in festive attire and created an impressive spectacle for the local residents.

An even bigger well done to those children at the sharp end of the race, with Lewis O’Neil (6EG) storming to victory followed by Bradley McDonald (6EG), Bradley Matthews (5F) and Owen Clough (5F) with Grace Whittaker (5FW) leading the girls round followed by Ella Taylor (4T) and Paris Sourbutts (4T).

The prizes for the best dressed children were hotly contested with the following children picking up the prizes;

6EG- Imogen Sutcliffe

6B- Keegan Farrar

5FW- Lydia-Sue Smithson

5F- Francessca Haynes

4T- Nicole Singleton

4M- Tyler Cross

3S- Lennon Howarth

3T- Carter Blackburn Hough

2S- Grace Davis

2H- Lucas Proud

1M- Carla Jackson

1B- Kaniya Shaheelan

Reception- Olivia Hardacre & George Kelly-Heaton

A big thank you to all the staff and parents that helped with marshalling and those who took part with the children, making it a safe and enjoyable event. Overall, thanks to donations from children, parents and some generous members of the public during the event, we raised £195 that will go towards the school playground project.
