Year 4 commenced their second week of Rugby coaching by ‘Darren’ from Colne & Nelson RUFC. They have offered up the coaching as an incentive to try to encourage more young children towards to tough and technical sport.
The Year 4s have relished the challenge and are learning lots of new key skills.
Caleb from 4M boosted, “We learned to pass the pass with the ‘swinging motion’ and catching and holding in the ‘bread basket’ position.”
Lola from 4T said, “We learned to hold the ball by the ears or belly of the ball.”
Such quirky vocabulary to help our future rugby stars learns these new skills!
