This week is our RE week. In Reception, we are learning about ‘special times’ and celebrations.
Yesterday we had a visit from the Salvation Army. They helped us to understand more about their Christian charity and the work they do within our community. The children learnt that they often help people who are homeless or who don’t have a lot of money and provide them with sleeping bags, clothes and food. They have a soup kitchen and a food bank.
Marilyn and Colin told us they love to play music in their church and the children got the chance to play some instruments along with Colin who played some songs for us on the euphonium.
The children were very excited by this visit and had great fun!
