Year 1 have had a hand in solving a mystery this week! It started when, after hearing about the children’s excellent research on penguins over the last few weeks, the police sent Mr Bunyan and Mrs Berry some CCTV images of a penguin that had been on the loose in Colne. From there, the children made lost posters and, within 24 hours, we got a call to say that the penguin had been found and delivered safely to the police station! The children wrote to Chester Zoo yesterday to see if they could look after it and now we’re all eagerly awaiting their response…
