Yesterday, after school, the Year 5 and 6 mixed boys and girls kicked off their 2019-20 football campaign with the seedings event.  With three Year 6 players missing through injuries, our children were up against it straight away with our Year 5s stepping up and helping out at the last minute.  Despite the setbacks, the team completed 3 fixtures, winning 1 and losing 2 against older, bigger and more experienced teams.  No shame at all in their defeats.  In fact the first 2 games were commendable with all children putting their heart and soul into it.  Unfortunately, the team lost their heads a little in the final game and lost by a margin, some tough lessons to be learnt from that humbling defeat.  Still, considering two thirds of the team were only Year 5 children, overall they performed admirably.  Let’s see what league we end up in and hopefully more positive results will follow!

Thanks to the parents who helped out with transport, especially the grandma who took 3 children without any prior warning, your help and efforts are wholly appreciated.
