Photos from Park Primary's postπ² Bikeability β Day 1! π² Today, 5B have completed the first day of their two-day Bikeability course. This morning, the children learned all about the correct clothing to wear when cycling, how to carry out a bike safety check to make sure their bikes are roadworthy, and then used the playground to build their confidence, control and road awareness ready for their first time out on the road. This afternoon, they were joined by 11 children from 5N. The children learned about the Highway Code, how to safely approach and check junctions, and the correct distance to cycle from the pavement. They have developed some fantastic skills today and have shown great concentration. These are all really important skills that the children will continue to build upon tomorrow when they head back out onto the road for Day 2. π΄ββοΈπ΄ββοΈ 12 Likes
