This afternoon children in Year Six had the opportunity to dissect a pig’s heart as part of their topic work. They had fun looking at the inner workings of the heart and were able to identify different parts such as: the aorta, vena cava, ventricles and atria.
As our work this half term will be based around “Pig Heart Boy” by Malorie Blackman, this was a great opportunity to start the year with a bang.
