On Thursday night, it was the turn of our year three cricketers to compete against the other schools in Pendle. This was the first inter-schools competition for many of them and while they were quite nervous beforehand, they were very excited to put into practice what they had learnt in their PE lessons with Miss Rawlinson.

They played out of their skins in the opening game, executing everything they had been taught perfectly, and gained a good win. This meant they then had to play Earby, who had also won their opening game impressively. After a solid start, they eventually came up short against the strong Earby side (Earby went on to win the tournament overall).

A big well done to those children who took part. Miss Rawlinson and Mr Byrom were both very impressed with your strong team spirit and resilience when the going got tough!
