Year 2 had a very soggy start to their forest school sessions last Friday, but that didn’t mean that they had any less fun! The children were working on the forest school skill of peeling rounded food, building on from peeling carrots in year 1. The children were excellent and enjoyed eating their yummy apples afterwards. As well as peeling, they also explored our new forest school allotment! Working in teams, we played relay races and some ‘stuck on you’ races too. Being excellent science detectives, the children searched for anything that was living in our forest school site and they found lots! They will then compare this list at different times of the year. Well done year 2 for a great first forest school session of the year, we are looking forward to many more!
