Our girls football team were in action once again tonight, taking on some of the best teams from around Pendle. After putting on a fine footballing display a fortnight ago, some of them had pre-match nerves before kicking off- feeling under pressure to perform- and started tentatively with a 0-0 draw against Earby. With the first game out of the way, the girls felt much more comfortable and soundly beat Gisburn Rd. 3-0 (Lucie scoring a great hat trick). The final game was more of the same, with Lucie scoring two and Lizzie finding the back of the net, ensuring we beat St Josephs by the same score. These results ensure we stay at the summit of the table and, with the winners going on to represent Pendle in the Lancashire School games, we are hoping that’s where they’ll stay! Well done girls!

My name is Mr Thompson and I am the class teacher in year 5 as well as the PE subject leader. This is going to be my second year teaching at Park and it is one that I am really looking forward to. Away from the classroom, I enjoy socialising with friends, going to the gym and taking part in a variety of sports.
