Nine Year 1 families have just completed our new and exciting 8 week “Families Connect” programme. We ended the programme yesterday with a celebration and many parents brought in lovely party food.
The workshops have been really enjoyable and successful and we hope to repeat it soon! We all learned different ways to support our children emotionally, aswell as learning new fun ways to engage them in reading, counting and number work.
Lots of parents and children agreed that the workshops were fun and they have all learned new skills to use at home.
Mrs Sheridan and Mrs Rigby especially enjoyed seeing the parents and children working together and seeing new friendships formed between parents.
I am an Assistant Headteacher at Park Primary School. I actually attended this school as a child and couldn’t think of anywhere better to work; I love teaching and think it a very rewarding job. I enjoy holidays away with my family and we love camping and being outdoors with our dog, Oscar.
