Our reading ambassadors were extremely busy on Friday! Before watching the pantomime in the afternoon, they were busy pitching in the Dragons’ Den at the ACE centre, to local businesses, to try and raise money for new books for school and author visits. This event was run by ‘The Pendle Reading Challenge’ which is a group of schools across Pendle, whose aim is to increase the level of attainment in reading for children across the borough. The event was a huge success, with many local businesses committing to supporting the initiative!
My name is Mr Thompson and I am the class teacher in year 5 as well as the PE subject leader. This is going to be my second year teaching at Park and it is one that I am really looking forward to. Away from the classroom, I enjoy socialising with friends, going to the gym and taking part in a variety of sports.
