On the final day of the Captain Tom’s 101 Challenge, the whole school had an assembly to celebrate the challenge.  Mr. Farry hosted a virtual whole school assembly on Zoom to announce the winners from each class and the total money raised for the week.  So during the week the children have been doing different physical activities linked to 101.  Some examples were: starjumps, laps around the yard, burpees, throwing and catching, bouncing balls and other like minded activities.

A winner from each class (someone who their teacher felt put in the most effort during the task), was selected and each child received a sports water bottle to keep them hydrated when exercising.

In total the children and staff raised £160 , the money will be going to the MacMillan charity, which is linked to a fundraiser from a parent of a previous school Mrs. McFadden who is raising awareness for that charities cause.

Thank you to all the children for engaging with the event and to parents & staff for helping us raise the money for a great cause!
